It is your worst enemy, your biggest fear, and yet, you know not why.
You have had no "bad experience," no trauma or horrific accident which had gripped you so tightly as to the point in which you cannot sleep.
Yet for some reason you cannot allow yourself to slip away into night's warm embrace as you lay yourself down each evening.
When you do sleep you are met with nightmares - horrible terrors which shake your should and freeze your heart. You wake with shuddered breath and meek, broken sobs, your skin white as paper and cold as ice as you curl yourself up in your blankets, clinging to a warmth which was never there.
Yet upon your waking every memory of these horrors is ripped from your mind, leaving you dazed and confused - alone in the dark confines of your room.
All throughout the next day you are left to wonder what thoughts plague you; how it is you have been cursed with this tired, sleepless, existence.
You do not know.
And you continued to struggle with this endless cyc
